Genealogical research starts with the compilation of names and dates of our ancestors which can be found on their birth, marriage and death certificates, either of the direct line ancestry (paternal or maternal ancestry) or the pedigree chart (both at the same time), tracing your ancestors from generation to generation as far as possible. A pedigree of ten generations will name you 1022 ancestors! For the descend line ancestry you will choose a couple of any generation, tracing its descends till nowadays. If you start with a couple of the tenth generation, their descendants might be consisting of thousends of members.

telling you the year of construction, owners and occupants in chronological order, their daily lives, plans, structural changes and furnishings of the respective epoch.

Should your property be of historical interest, we can forward on your behalf an application to the "Fondation du Patrimoine" for envisaging its classification as historical monument, so that you can profit from possible subventions for a necessary restoration.
