All research contracts require a maximum amount of information so that its difficulties and duration can be estimated in advance. These are the factors which determine what fees are to be charged and you will be informed about these in writing before the order is carried out, including all services and expenses regarding the research.

Please state the objective of your research project as precisely as possible and provide all the resources you have used, even those which showed no result, so that reference sources are not researched twice. Location details are only complete when the administrative district is given, for the history of a house or estate the lot number and section as well as a copy of the articles "origine de propriété" of your deed are required. All information concerning your ancestors should be supplemented by copies of documents or records in your possession.

Our fees are 35 EUR per hour and are valid for the current year. All research assumes a minimum of contract of 4 hours as well as a retainer of 50% of the total amount to be paid in advance. Research which requires more than 20 hours (pedigrees, descendancies, biographies, histories of property)will be charged at a flat rate.

You can take it for granted that your genealogist will use all his knowledge and experience in meeting your requirements, but it is impossible to guarantee that the results of his investigation will be positive. At the end of the research project you will receive a detailled research report with a list of references, as well as copies of all records and documents found.
